Filteria – Daze Of Our Lives, released on 17. Dec 2009 by Suntrip Records – SUNCD14
After 2 successful albums, and 3 years of sonic research and dancefloor live-testing, Filteria is back with more innovation, better production, and a new definition of Goatrance!
Filteria is known for his rollercoaster tracks filled with killer climaxes. Since his debut in 2004, he kept surprising the listener and pushing further the effects of music-driven psychedelia. He is also behind the mysterious project K.O.B. that’s starting to get strong attention in the scene.
Jannis Filteria is also known for his energetic live act that takes the dancefloors by storm. Worth mentioning that he always plays live remixes & unreleased tracks. This reputation made him tour the world in the last 3 years (Brazil, Israel, Mexico, Russia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Turkey, Belgium, Finland, Portugal..) and participate in Major festivals such as Universo Paralello, Fullmoon, or Aurora.
While appearing in several compilations, Jannis kept feet and hands in his all-analogue studio to produce the pure organic madness of “Daze of Our Lives”.
“Daze of Our Lives”, while staying a Goatrance album, introduces a new sleek approach, reaching out to a totally unseen aura. An exclusive experience that will reset references and mark the history of Goatrance.
As a starter, Filtertraces, encompasses progessive influences. From a mystic intro, to dreamy landscapes, to an hallucinogenic interlude driving to a final cloudwalking, Filtertraces is the introductory step to the new Filteria style.
The Big Blue, tested on the biggest dancefloors is a stomper, gradually increasing the pressure in some parts, and delivering energy shorts in others. From surprise to surprise to the final climax, the track will unite all melodic lovers in a same happiness.
Wormhole is a serious one, drilling psychedelic tunnels in the listener’s conscience, then elevating and shooting an explosion of melodies.
As the first track made for this album, Eyeless Observatory still has influences from Heliopolis. A no-compromise twister trapping your mind until the almost-acid final act. Prepare to be crushed!
In the Heaven’s Eye is a real odyssey, letting the kick enter after 4 minutes, and developing a 14-minute story that evolves pattern after pattern. That track is a real peacemaker. This is Filteria anno 2009.
Infinite Regression is one of these tracks that take you aback. Massive bass, massive melodies, and all of a sudden the trip has started without you noticing. Strong psychedelic artifacts for strong madness.
Earthrise is probably one of Filteria’s best tracks ever. An alive bass, a fantastic combination of instruments and fx, incredible build-ups, smashing climaxes. Earthrise will bring back the pure essence of Goatrance.
Lastly, Float Away & Disappear operates a down tempo decompression. Voices and tweaks cross the air and blend together to offer the best landing strip.
