Technotronic is a Belgian electronic music project formed in 1988 by Jo Bogaert (Thomas De Quincey), who originally gained notoriety with various high-profile dance concepts such as Nux Nemo and Acts Of Madmen.
Technotronic definitely had an impact with its first, worldwide hit, “Pump Up The Jam”.
They were reportedly the first dance act to use a constant bassline running through their tracks, and gained global success with their formula.
