2 Unlimited “Closer to 2U” official lyric video

Heavy disputes between the various people – performers, writers, producers – were making life impossible. So Ray and Anita ducked out, and the producers (who had started 2 Unlimited before Ray and Anita were on board) decided to replace them with singers Romy van Ooijen and Marjon van Iwaarden for the ill-fated album “II”.

As I had worked on all the previous 2 Unlimited albums (but only one single – “Nothing Like the Rain”), Phil Wilde asked me work on some tracks. “Closer 2U” is the only one that made the final cut. It’s a mid-tempo Eurodance with some lightweight drum’n’bass effects.
