Horace Swaby displaying his highly skilled manipulation Melodica led as raps his way through this fine 1973 mid-tempo Lee Perry project, as early Augustus develops his early techniques that would see him emerge as a major player as “dub” took hold in Jamaica.
The flipside by Lloyd Jackson and his Groovers is a more melodic affair, a flowing mid-pace dance session, a more coherent singing woven into the same style arrangement.
Two strong sides showcasing Horace’s rich vocal, complementing his mastery of the Melodica, a combination that would take him forward to bigger things with King Tubby.
A 45 that is rarely seen in such fine condition.
Condition Report
Two clean yellow labels, with equally impressive vinyl only revealing the merest hairlines under direct light. plays fabulously clean
