Arguably the singing producer who made the biggest impact on Jamaica’s music scene, Rupie Edwards invented the one-riddim album and was the first to popularize dub abroad. “Ire Feelings”, a wonderful proto-dub piece that took Jamaica and Britain by storm, spinning its weird web into the Top Ten.
