‘The right thing EP’ is born out of the crucial collaboration between 4Weed Music, Echotronix Soundsystem and Russ Bell-Brown aka The Disciples – producer who played a key role in the UK deep roots revival of the first 90’s. The great vocal cut on the A side, recorded in Brixton in 2015 by Michael Prophet, is a big conscious tune which takes us back in the days, at the times of the collaboration with Yabby You. Just after voicing the riddim the whole studio started to dance ‘inna Shaka style’ and thanks to a killer mix by The Disciples, ‘Everybody get ready’ became a very appreciated dubplate, regularly played for years by Echotronix. After Michael Prophet’s passing in 2017, the tune remains an example of his versatile and creative style, even in the final part of his career. At the same time, on the B side, we find another legend of the roots and culture music: Johnny Clarke, still active from the 70’s with his unique and inimitable voice. ‘One man life’ is the tune on the same riddim, followed by another dub mix by The Disciples, which is the fourth and last track of the Ep. ‘The right thing Ep’ is a top notch sound system music release, with two legends on vocals.
It’s just the first one born out of this collaboration, so keep your ears open for the next great music releases. 2019 – Italy

Back in the days of early sound system culture in Europe, King David Warriors pioneered the scene with their own system introducing Italy and European crowd to this art and playing and supporting many legendary sounds like Jah Shaka, Jah Tubbys, Fatman, Channel One, Aba Shanti, Iration Steppas etc often introducing them to Italy for the first times. They had the chance as well to support many great musicians and djs such as Dub Syndicate, Don Letts, Andy Smith, Daddy G..just to name a few. They had montly residencies in Torino, Milano and Rome and foster the scene with the well-known Roots Attack sessions beside playing as well in France, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, Spain etc. In 2005 after 350 gigs they decided to take a pause and closed the sound to dedicate themselves to the musical production. Now after 7 years the fruits of this labor of love are ready to be released on Echotronix label; a collaboration with The Roots Defender band and legendary singers like Johnny Clarke, Michael Prophet, Dixie Peach, Earl 16 and many others. Backed by popular demand they just released the first Echotronix 10″ called “Reconquering Lion” by Benidub and mixed at Echotronix studio which sold out in 24 hours! A longtime exclusive KDW dub plate from 2001 which teared down session all over the world. Together with the label the crew launched his brand new Sound System: the “Echotronix Hi Power Sound System” ready to put on fire again the hottest yards alongside dynamite mcs such as Oxman (Dub Vendor&Souljazz) and Joe Pilgrim (Dub Addict).
