After the Tinnitus project came to its natural conclusion around 1989, Mike Hodgson began to explore the world of industrial dub by remixing tunes that were passing through Pitch Black Studio (before he used the name for Pitch Black, the band) under the name The Projector Mix. It was a recording and live AV project connected to the evolving deepgrooves label.

Drift collects many of those remixes and original tracks together for the first time. .
