Johnny Osbourne wails an eerily heartfelt “cause my heart is broken in a million pieces and I just don’t know where else it can break again” on this obscure, Canada-only 7″ release (b-side to “Sun Rise” on Summer Records). Boasting such a strong and unplaceable sound that is not quite rocksteady, not quite roots, heavily bass-ed and ALL pure heart, it is truly one of those great “reggae oddities”.
A couple winters ago, its sweet, cold truth spoke to me at a time when nothing else could… Thankfully, that time did pass, but my connection with this song never will…
