The first single from 2007’s “Rude Mechanicals” album is ‘1000 Mile Drift’, a dub driven stomper of a tune featuring the sweet vocals of Pacific soul star Brother J.

Stepping up to remix duties are a bevvy of quality producers: former Thompson Twin, Tom Bailey dons his International Observer guise to add roots and shoots and generally nice up the vibes; rising Catalan production duo Ashton&Barbena flip the switch and send the tune into the future with their dubstep style reduction; while Poker Flat’s esteemed Simon Flower takes the title very literally and creates a floating minimal techno masterpiece, destined to fit well into any twilight hours set.
