Propellerheads Featuring Miss Shirley Bassey – History Repeating (Knee Length Mix)
Absolutely fantastic retro groove on this track, courtesy of the UK duo Propellerheads, featuring lead vocals by the legendary Shirley Bassey. Miss Bassey’s powerful voice perfectly complements the blend of big beat and jazz, resulting in an awesome track that’s part James Bond theme and maybe even some Austin Powers and The Avengers mixed in–I can just see Emma Peel dancing along to this one. History Repeating peaked at #19 on the UK pop charts in 1997, and also went to #10 on the USA Dance charts; I personally felt that it deserved to go higher.
